Prayer Requests

Welcome to the RUF Prayer Page!

PRAYER REQUESTS

Prayer is the heart of intimacy with God. No one has a relationship where BOTH parties are not communicating with each other. Therefore, because of the grace of our God, we pray. This page is dedicated to keeping in front of folks the various prayer needs of this ministry from within and without. The form below is for you to enter any requests you might have for the campus minister, the Prayer Team, RUF Leadership, or RUF at large to pray for. You don't have to complete all fields on the prayer request form but it does help for us to follow up with you!

A few things about how this works.

  • Please know that when you enter a prayer request, the first and only person to see that request is our campus minister, John Boyte.
  • Second, there are two kinds of requests on this site. PUBLIC requests are those that you would not mind appearing on this page for all the world to see and pray for. Please don't submit a request if you are unsure about the privacy of the matter. PRIVATE requests will be seen ONLY by the Prayer Team, RUF Leadership and John.

(NOTE: when a request comes in, the campus minister will make a determination as to whether or not any names need to be mentioned in the request before passing it along. In this, he will err to the side of caution and will likely remove all names from any requests that come in and get passed on.)

Please know that there are more than students that are looking regularly at this site. Alumni, supporters of RUF, parents, and curious seekers are regularly checking back at this site. So use discretion when you enter something as a public request, but be encouraged that LOTS of people will be praying for you!

That said, make use of this resource. We long to see God move in on this campus. But we don't have, because we don't ask.

PRAYER CHAIN

So, what is a "prayer chain." Simply put, it's an easy way to get information out to our group when prayer needs come in. We typically only use this chain for big issues so signing up does not mean that you will suddenly start getting too many texts about prayer requests.

You join the prayer chain when you sign up. New members will simply be added to the bottom of the list. As soon as someone else signs up after you, you will get an email with that person's name. This is the only person you are responsible for contacting in the case of a prayer request. If you forget, the entire prayer chain is listed on the sign up form. You can easily check back.

This might sound useless to some of you, but I promise that when tragedy strikes and God's people need to mobilize, it is a vital part of being the Body of Christ to each other!
